Refinery

  • Crude Unit 2.4KV MCC Replacement – installation of a new 2.4KV MCC lineup to replace existing oil filled starter line-up
  • Desalter / Stabilizer Electrical – installation of electrical loads for new unit as part of the OSBL work
  • HTU Compressor Upgrade – installation of a larger compressor motor (1500HP), new transformer and motor starter
  • 4KV Switchyard Replacement Project - installation of 2 new power distribution buildings, one 15KV and 5KV and one 480V – for providing power feeds to existing loads
  • Sub 56 / MPS 45 Installation – installation of 2 new power distribution buildings, one 15KV and one 5KV and 480V
  • Heater BMS Systems – 3 new BMS system installation on existing process heaters utilizing a Triconex PLC (TRI-GP) for each installation
  • East Plant CEMS – installation of new equipment on 2 existing CEMS buildings to comply with new OSHA flare regulations
  • West Plant CEMS – installation of 3 new CEMS buildings on existing plant flares to comply with new OSHA flare regulations
  • FCC Revamp – OSBL design for new slide valve structure - ~100+ loop installation, 30 demo loops, and redesign of Safety Shutdown System
  • #1 SRU CEMS Installation – installation of a new CEMS to replace the existing, included a relocation and documentation of an existing incinerator BMS panel
  • DCS Replacement – multi-unit DCS upgrade over several year implementation
  • 600# Boiler Installation – new force draft boiler with standalone CEMS building installation and removal of 3 existing smaller package boilers
  • Tank Farm & Blending DCS Conversion – installation of Honeywell Experion system in place of the existing Foxboro DCS and tank gauging system
  • FCC/CO Boiler DCS Conversion – installation of Honeywell Experion system in place of the existing Yokogawa DCS system

Chemical and Fertilizer

  • Tank Farm 1200 – installation of new tank farm electrical and instrumentation for 6 new product tanks
  • FLO MCC Replacement – installation of new 480V distribution building
  • UPS Replacement – installation of a new UPS system to replace existing ones
  • Plant Electrical Upgrade - installation of 11 new power distribution buildings and new power / controls cabling for all plant 15KV, 5KV, and 480V systems
  • Ammonia Unit 1 Electrical Upgrade – 2 installations of new 480V systems (increased size for transformer / MCC) for 2 separate locations in the Ammonia 1 Unit
  • Ammonia Unit 2 Electrical Upgrade – installations of new 480V systems (increased size for transformer / MCC) for 2 separate location in the Ammonia 2 Unit
  • OXY Unit SIS - installation of a new Safety Instrumented System for the Oxide Unit
  • FLO Unit SIS - installation of a new Safety Instrumented System for the FLO Unit
  • OXY DCS Upgrade – DCS upgrade for the unit control system
  • Loading System Controller Replacement – installation of a new PLC (AB ControLogix) based control system in place of the existing relay base system
  • 150# Boiler Installation – installation of a new 150# force draft boiler along with new electrical / instrumentation room for MCC and DCS controls
  • Annex Gear Replacement – installed new 480V switchgear and power distribution for 30 in plant MCCs
  • Plantwide Electrical Improvements – installed 7 new HRG units on plant 480V transformers, new 13.2KV isolation switches

Pulp and Paper

  • Mill Wide Arc Flash Mitigation - mitigating arc flash hazards for 26 in plant distribution substations
  • MCC 8801 Replacement – replacement of existing 2.4KV motor control center
  • Sub 1/2/3/4 Replacement – installed new transformers, main breakers, feeder breaker panels, and power distribution for 4 in plant substations
  • Sub 1/2/3/4 Power Factor Correction – installed new packaged Square D Reactivar power factor correction
  • Circuit 23 Trip Selectivity – installed new transformer primary switch/Tavrida breaker elements to allow transformers on daisy-chained feeder to be isolated individually in the event of a fault

Utility

  • Plant Arc Flash Mitigation – installation of protective relays, new 480V circuit breaker trip units, and settings revisions throughout plant
  • Genco 7/8 Short Circuit & Arc Flash Mitigation – installation of higher impedance 480V transformer and installation of Tavrida breaker elements in existing 13.8KV switches with SEL relay protection
  • Unit 4/5/6 Off Base Arc Flash Mitigation – installation of virtual main on transformer secondary to provide trip to primary breaker in an arc flash event
  • Plant Arc Flash Mitigation – installation of 2 virtual main set ups for units 2 and 3 480V aux power transformer, retrofit of GE AK series breakers with Entelliguard breakers, and installation of main breaker for off base 480V transformers
  • Genco 7/8 Battery Room Replacement – installed new climate controlled / pressurized battery room that housed 125VDC and 24VDC systems for generators 7 and 8
  • Unit 1/2 Breaker Failure – installed new lock-out and trip controls for breaker failure
  • Unit 4/5/6 Breaker Failure – installed new trip controls for breaker failure
  • Unit 2/3 Relay Upgrades – installed new SEL 751 relays in place of the existing electro-mechanical relays

Cement

  • 480V Gear Replacements – 6 installations of new 480V systems and consolidated or unitized loads
  • 480V Gear Replacements – 4 installations of new 480V systems and consolidated or unitized loads
